Data Driven facts

While backgrounds and histories may differ, LNVHHA members have one thing in common — a love of the Pocono Mountains and Lake Naomi!

Many of our members are Pennsylvania natives, and others purchased homes in Pocono Pines with the dream of retiring here. These vacation rentals provide the flexibility to live out that dream, to contribute to the local economy, to participate in the fabric of the community. This allows owners to live in the community, growing even deeper roots.

Vacation rental homes provide many benefits to the local community. They are kept in pristine condition, thereby enhancing the neighborhood in which they are located. They also provide local and state economies with increased revenue from lodging taxes.  Local communities benefit from the cleaning, maintenance, spa care, landscaping and renovation jobs that keep people employed and maintain a healthy local economy. Not to mention the contributions to the economy by the visitors who come and spend money in the area.

With tourism as an increasing economic contributor to the Poconos economy, these properties are a major part of the local ecosystem. Vacation rental hosts are your neighbors who care about the local community, the local economy, and safely welcoming guests to our incredible shared home here in the mountains.

Don’t relinquish your rights, sacrifice your property value, & limit your options as a homeowner.

This has NOTHING to do with Temporary Club Memberships.

The proposed PPCA and TTCA deed restriction amendment will irrevocably limit your rights, and those of your heirs, with no valid need or rationale for these restrictions.

The townships already passed a strict short-term ordinance that addresses the needs of our family-friendly community. These regulations include a rigorous annual permit process, occupancy limits, health and safety inspections, an enforcement hotline, and hefty fines and permit revocations for violations.

The deed restriction language is vague and open-ended. It grants the TTCA and PPCA power to impose further restrictions WITHOUT any vote, as they see fit.

PRESERVE YOUR FAMILY’S PROPERTY RIGHTS. VOTE NO TO THE DEED RESTRICTION.

Visitors who rent at Lake Naomi are wonderfully diverse as should be the rental homes they use. In a vacation community like ours, “one size” does not fit all.

Limiting rentals in length to 7 days is purely discriminatory and goes against the messaging consistently found on the Lake Naomi Club website and in all the marketing assets.

“Lake Naomi and Timber Trails are two communities that comprise the Lake Naomi Club. Here you will find Pennsylvania Vacation Homes and Rentals to meet any budget or style.” - LNC welcome page

YOUR CALL TO ACTION

Whether you rent your home or not, in the comment section please request an open community dialogue inviting all members to engage in a full discussion on rentals.

We need to convince the Lake Naomi Boards to use our own community resources to develop a forum focused on rentals, and remember …………

VOTE NO!

THIS IS OUR FOUNDATION

These words form a belief that have been our foundation since Logan Steele envisioned this community some 60 years ago. Owners make their homes available anywhere from just a few weeks each year to year round. Some homes are managed personally, while others rely on third party property managers. Rental needs and standards vary, and that’s why this is a community for anyone who wants to be here. The Lake Naomi Leadership Boards presently regard all rentals equally without consideration to the needs of our visitors. They neglect to share the many benefits that rentals offer including a pathway to ownership in Lake Naomi, increasing the diversity of our community members, and generating significant financial support to the Lake Naomi Club, our local businesses, and many service providers
